Look Out For Bed Bugs When You Travel - Sleep tight; do not let the bed bugs bite is no longer simply the topic of old nursery rhymes: Bed bugs are a real pest, especially when you travel. They have more...
Don’t let their cute & cuddly appearance fool you: Mice are the 2nd most destructive mammal in the world—second only to rats! Just one mouse can spread Lyme Disease, Salmonella, and Hantavirus; contaminate food by leaving thousands of micro‐droplets of urine wherever it walks; and create millions of dollars in damage to buildings and stored products with its constant gnawing. Mice are also very opportunistic: they live at our expense and contribute nothing in return. When it gets colder outside, mice take advantage of the food and shelter our homes provide, so take some time to “mouse‐proof” your property. To protect your home:
Keep food, including pet food, and garbage in tightly sealed containers. (Mice can smell food from 100’s of feet away!)
Feed birds away from your house.
Trim weeds and shrubs back from the house.
Keep your garage door closed at all times.
Seal holes, cracks and crevices round your house. (Mice can crawl through an opening as small as ¼inch")
